The other night, Lenovo introduced their new All -in-One PC and their first ever Core i7 powered gaming notebook. They’ve got the A600 and C300 series and it’s now complete with the IdeaCentre B500.
The B500’s design is inspired by the Transformers, according to Lenovo executives (saw some hints of it). This model will have a 23-inch display with full
1080p resolution (1920×1080 pixels).
The IdeaCentre B500 will have Core 2 Quad processors, up to 8GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, a DVD or Blu-Ray drive with option for a built-in TV tuner. The graphics card is an NVidia GeForce GTS 250 with 1GB RAM and similar flavors. The built-in speakers are powered by JBL. Comes with Windows 7 pre-installed.
Accessories includes wireless keyboard and mouse, remote control that also acts as a motion-drive games controller and a VOIP handset.
The rig will be available starting January 2010 and will have a suggested retail price of Php49,000+ and up (depending on specs). Windows
Experience Index gives the low-end model a score of 5.9 (c/o the HDD).
